Discovery Middle School is focused on supporting the whole child. Our grade 6-8 students are at a unique developmental age as they transition from elementary to middle school. Staff value the importance of positive student connections, social emotional learning and providing a secure sense of belonging within our community. Students are valued for their individual insights, their leadership abilities and ideas. Students and staff are part of collaborative grade level teams where teacher-to-student and student-to-student relationships can thrive, encouraging emotional security and academic growth. Teachers design learning to promote critical thinking, problem solving, creativity and exploration. Discovery's campus includes a variety of learning spaces with amazing athletic facilities and nature trails perfect for environmental learning. Discovery Middle School offers several extracurricular activities including archery, theater, jazz band, Stormy Strings Orchestra, Math League, Early Bird Choir, Knowledge Bowl, The Green Team, FTC Robotics and various athletics.
